She graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York with a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine, studying Chinese and Western medicine. She completed an Internship at The Mount Sinai Hospital Acupuncture Clinic, specializing in treating patients with cancer, and its side effects. She completed her second internship at NYU Hospital (IWD) Initiative for Women with Disabilities.
