Brief Intro

My Practice Philosophy Although I do not interact with patients as frequently as doctors in some other fields (for example, internal medicine), I emphasize the value of the traditional patient-physician relationship: effective and timely communications with both the patient and the medical staff. I also accentuate the need to keep abreast of technological advancements, thus providing the highest quality service in radiological diagnosis to my patients. I am proud of my work and will constantly strive to excel in the complex world of modern health care. My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2004, after completing my residency at State University of New York Medical Center at Stony Brook and fellowship in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City where I received my certification in diagnostic radiology. Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente I have chosen to be a member of the Kaiser family for obvious reasons. This is a place where doctors have the freedom to practice medicine the way they want to. Here I have the full support of a competent and friendly staff as well as a well-managed organization, access to excellent research and continuing education opportunities, and the most up-to-date medical equipment and information technology. More importantly, I highly value Kaiser's fundamentally ethical approach to patient care and attention to quality and prevention. My Professional Interests and Affiliations I was a recipient of 2002 RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award. I am currently a member of : -American College of Radiology -Radiological Society of North America -Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound -American Women Radiology Society. My Personal History A bit about myself. I attended medical school in Shanghai, China. I came to the United States to further my studies and earned a graduate degree in biology at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. After that, while working as a researcher at Yale Medical School, I passed the medical board examinations and returned to clinical medicine. Upon completion of my residency and fellowship, I decided to come to work here. Besides the fact that Kaiser Permanente offered an excellent career opportunity, I was also attracted by the beautiful sunshine in Northern California and the wonderful communities in the area. In addition to English, I am also fluent in Mandarin and Shanghai dialect.
