Dr. Lila Iyer brings over fifteen years of experience to her Internal Medicine practice. She is a skilled clinician and has a keen sense when it comes to the needs of her patients. Born in India, Dr. Iyer has combined her Western upbringing to blend and enjoy the best of both cultures. This unique life experience has allowed her to understand and appreciate the individuality to each patient she sees. As a female physician, she has taken a keen interest in caring for women and their special needs. Dr. Iyer graduated as a â€œStudent of Distinctionâ€ from the University of Winnipeg where she was also named to the â€œDeanâ€™s Honor Listâ€. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Manitoba where she had the distinction of being the first Asian Indian to be admitted to Medical School. Dr. Iyer completed her Internal Medicine Residency in New Jersey. Family values are central to both Dr. Iyer and her husband Bala. Together they have two gifted daughters and enjoy spending time with their extended family. Dr. Iyer enjoys reading and is a talented musician.
