As a board certified physiatrist, Dr. Song is currently an attending physician at NMHC and also an assistant attending physiatrist in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in Queen Hospital Center, which is affiliated with Mt. Sinai School of Medicine.
After graduation from Hunan Medical University at Changsha City of Hunan Province, P.R. China, Dr. Song worked as internist in People’s hospital in Changde City, China. In the United States of America, she received PhD degree in Pharmacology from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine of CUNY. She then completed internship program in internal medicine at Kings County Hospital in SUNY Health Science Center of Brooklyn, followed by medical resident training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center of New York.
Dr. Song is a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation and specialized in evaluation, consultation, treatment for general medical problems especially pain and swelling in different joints in the body, face and limb muscle ache and weakness, headache, numbness of face and limbs, and general sports related injury. She is specialized in EMG/NCV study for weakness of muscle and numbness of face and limbs, especially in patient with neck pain, low back pain, and stroke.
