Dr. Gee, originally from Terra Haute, Indiana, has called Alaska home since 2011. She graduated from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 2007; completed her 1st year family medicine residency at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana; then transferred to the University of Lousiville, completing her psychiatry residency. Dr. Gee is a Board Certified General Psychiatrist trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy. She has experience in many different areas of psychiatry including voluntary/involuntary inpatient, forensics, medical floor and emergency department consults, nursing home care and outpatient care. Her treatment philosophy considers symptoms, medical conditions and social situation when determining whether medications are appropriate. When Dr. Gee is not working, you can usually find her with her son and standard poodle running, skiing or biking on the trail system.
