Lauren A. Huntress, MD, RPVI, is a vascular and endovascular surgeon with Prime Vascular Institute in Boca Raton. Prime Vascular Institute was founded by Dr. Joseph Ricotta, National Medical Director for Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy for Tenet Healthcare.
Dr. Huntress specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of carotid disease, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), aortic aneurysm, venous disease, and vascular care for end stage renal disease, dialysis access and wound care. Dr. Huntress specializes in vascular surgery and endovascular therapy including transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR), carotid endarterectomy, atherectomy for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD), endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) and aortic dissection. She also provides non-surgical treatment for venous disease including minimally-invasive venous ablation for treating varicose veins, and, a noninvasive therapy for the management of varicose and spider veins.
Dr. Huntress is on staff at West Boca Medical Center and Delray Medical Center. For her education and training, Dr. Huntress completed an integrated vascular surgery residency and graduated from medical school at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ. Dedicated to the advancement of vascular surgery and medicine, Dr. Huntress has authored peer-reviewed articles published in medical journals and book chapters, as well as presented her findings at medical society meetings and symposiums.
