She currently is the Director of the Multidisciplinary Breast Clinic at the Liggett Breast Clinic at the Van Elslander Cancer Center. Dr. Biernat's professional memberships include Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Omega Alpha, Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and the Southwest Oncology Group. Dr. Biernat's special interests are in treating breast cancer and offering customized care for the individual patient in a compassionate manner. She is very interested in the development of more effective cancer treatments and encourages patient participation in clinical research studies when available. Dr. Biernat was recognized as a "Top Doc" in oncology by Hour Detroit magazine in 2008.
