I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1979, almost 29 yrs ago! I came from New York with my wife and three young daughters to Upland, California to work at Kaiser Fontana Ob/Gyn Department. Our children grew up with in-school and out-school activities like music, gymnastics, swimming, diving and soccer--a lot of fun. They all became medical doctors; my middle daughter is at Kaiser Permanente, doing the last year of a sports medicine fellowship.
