Dr. Hood completed his surgical training within the University of California system including Riverside and San Diego. His special skills include spinal microsurgery and minimally invasive spine surgery. He is dedicated to the treatment of degenerative, traumatic and pathological spine conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Dr. Hood has published several book chapters and journal articles. Dr. Hood emphasizes the importance of non-surgical management prior to considering surgery for most patients.
