Dr Kavita Kalidas is a board certified Neurologist and UCNS certified Headache Specialist based in Tampa, Florida. She completed her neurology residency and headache medicine fellowship at the University of South Florida. Dr Kalidas has provided care to patients in the Tampa Bay community since 2010. She has a passion for treating patients with headaches and atypical facial pain and understands the importance of an integrated mind body approach for the best clinical outcomes. Her deep rooted interest in the management of neurological conditions stems from her childhood exposure to her grandmother’s multiple sclerosis symptoms and her strong family and personal history of disabling migraine.
Dr Kalidas is dedicated to educating in the field of headache medicine. She is a national speaker invited to discuss migraine at headache, pain management and primary care meetings. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Headache Society and the International Headache Society. Dr. Kalidas has been involved in clinical research in adult and pediatric headache, enjoys providing patient and provider education, and supporting migraine advocacy. Her interests include chronic migraine, facial pain and the mind body integrated approach to healing. Dr Kalidas’ research has been published in several prominent medical journals, including Headache and Cephalalgia. Her goal is to deliver exceptional care and comfort to each of her patients by offering patients an awareness of their diagnosis as well as the best course of treatment. She uses an integrative mind body approach to individualize care and guide each patient on their own personal road to recovery and healing.
