Jyothi Rao-Mahadevia, M.D. graduated from New Jersey Medical School in 1994. Dr. Rao-Mahadevia completed her internal medicine residency at Tufts New England Medical Center in 1997. She has been practicing general internal medicine/primary care in New York and Maryland since 1997. Dr. Rao-Mahadevia completed the UCLA Acupuncture Course for Physicians in 2000. She routinely uses acupuncture as an adjunct to her internal medicine practice to help individuals with a variety of symptoms including pain syndromes, allergies, headaches and smoking cessation. In 2008, she became certified in Cardiopulmonary Stress Testing (CST), which allows for the assessment of cardiac and pulmonary disease. This test provides detailed information on fitness levels and is utilized to develop a health program using dietary modification, nutritional supplement therapy and exercise.
