Welcome! I am a specialist doctor! Dr. Ros Carretero is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist who founded Heartland Anesthesia in 2007 after consulting with the CEO of Highlands Regional Medical Center, Sebring, Florida, on how to best serve the facility. He currently serves as Attending Anesthesiologist at HRMC and the Surgical Center at Sun 'N' Lake, as well as holding his own Private Practice in Pain Management. His specialties include Cardiothoracic Anesthesia, Chronic Pain Management, Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management. His experience in department management and hospital leadership makes him a vital member of the medical team. He received his medical degree from the Cordoba University School of Medicine, Cordoba, Spain. Following his Residency in Anesthesiology at the University of South Florida Department of Anesthesiology in Tampa, Florida, he was a part of a Pain Management Fellowship at the USF Department of Neurology. His time in Spain saw him serve as Attending Anesthesiologist, Operating Room Manager and Chairman of the Anesthesia Department in various hospitals. In Florida, he served as Chief of Anesthesia at the Mercy Hospital Orthopedic Institute in Miami and was a member of the Critical Care Associates Group at that facility.
