Dr. Alley is board certified in surgery. After earning his medical degree from University of Virginia, he received additional training through a residency in surgery at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and a fellowship in surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center Department of Surgery. He loves caring for the Lynchburg community because this is where he grew up, and where he has roots. He says, "There is nothing like the Blue Ridge Mountains!" When he is not providing care at the Heart and Vascular Institute, he likes to spend his time with his wife and 5 kids, gardening, working out, hiking, attending church and Bible study, and reading.
