Joseph Sypniewski, D.O., received his undergraduate degree from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, followed by a degree in pharmacy at Ferris State University. He went on to Michigan State University and earned his doctorate from the College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1986. Internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids. He is board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a senior fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has been on active staff at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital since 1991. He has dedicated twenty-five years to the study and practice of pregnancy related care and the treatment of gynecologic disorders. The first priority for pregnancy should be to make it safe; after that, growing a family should be fun. Dr. Sypniewski lives in Petoskey with his wife Karen, and five children.
