Brief Intro

Dr Farrell has been a practicing surgeon in Sussex county since 2015 and has recently joined OASD to continue his career as a specialist in hip and knee replacement surgery. A native of South Jersey, he graduated from Villanova University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then spent 5 years of orthopedic residency working in Philadelphia, Baltimore and Boston with some of the foremost joint replacement surgeons in the nation. He subsequently moved with his wife and 2 young daughters to Texas, where he completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction at the Texas Hip and Knee Center, in Fort Worth, TX. There, he performed over 600 joint replacements in a year and was expertly trained in cutting edge minimally invasive hip and knee replacement techniques. After returning to the East Coast and practicing here in Lewes and Milford, Dr Farrell has found a welcoming patient population and experienced excellent early success with his surgical outcomes. He is rapidly becoming a sought-after total joint surgeon and his practice is growing quickly. He is focused on optimizing post-surgical outcomes with a combination of the latest generation of total hip and knee implant systems, and streamlined, coordinated peri-operative care. He has also begun to utilize patient specific instrumentation in a growing number of procedures as 3D printing technology has now become an accepted option for more complex cases.
