Brief Intro

Dr. Joseph H. Feinberg completed his residency training at NYU Medical Center (Rusk Institute). He received fellowships in orthopaedic pathology at Hospital for Special Surgery and in orthopaedic biomechanics at the University of Iowa. Dr. Feinberg has been the team physician of St. Peters College. He served as the team physician for Seton Hall University, and he also served Jersey City State College and the professional soccer team the Jersey Dragons. Dr. Feinberg is the editor of a book entitled Peripheral Nerve Injuries in the Athlete, published by Human Kinetics. He has written many book chapters and has been the co-author of many peer reviewed articles. His clinical expertise and research experience has been the application of electrodiagnostic testing (EMG) in the identification and management of brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries and disorders. Dr. Feinberg is a consultant for the Office of Professional Medical Conduct in New York State’s Department of Health, and he is a volunteer in Medical Reserve Corps in New York City’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Dr. Feinberg serves on the Editorial Board for the Hospital for Special Surgery Journal. He has been the reviewer for many peer review journals and has participated in educational programs throughout the U.S. and internationally. His lectures are primarily in the area of brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries and disorders, and the role of electrodiagnostics (EMG). Along with his status as a boarded fellow of the American Academy and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, he has specialty boards in Electromyography and Sports Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Feinberg is part of a medical team called F.O.C.O.S. (Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine) that travels to Ghana to treat patients with orthopaedic and neurological disorders. He has also volunteered his medical services in Havana, Cuba. He has competed as a triathlete and marathon runner, travels extensively, and has been to all seven continents.
