Brief Intro

Jordan M. Estroff, MD, FACS is the Director of Surgical Critical Care at the GW Medical Faculty associates and Assistant Professor of Surgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He also serves as the Medical Director for the Advanced Practitioner Residency in Trauma and Critical Care and also the Program Director for the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship. Dr. Estroff completed medical school at The Medical College of Georgia (now part of Augusta University). He then completed his residency and fellowship in surgical critical care at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. After his training, Dr. Estroff joined Envision's Acute Surgery Division based in Plano, TX. While there he was intimately involved in transitioning an ACS-verified Level 2 Trauma Center to Level 1. Working with nursing, he led the creation of the trauma center's Surgical Intensive Care Unit. He then served as the Trauma Medical Director of Inova Loudoun Medical Center during its initial designation as a Virginia Level 3 trauma center. Dr. Estroff joined the GW MFA in 2018. Dr. Estroff serves on multiple committees for national leading trauma organizations (American College of Surgeon's Committee on Trauma, Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and the Surgical Critical Care Program Directors' Society). Dr. Estroff's clinical interests include Robotic Acute Care Surgery and the management of the critical injured.
