"My role is to empower patients with the knowledge and tools on how to manage their pain. Firstly, this is done by getting an accurate diagnosis. This requires a detailed (and sometimes, lengthy) evaluation. Secondly, it is crucial to use evidence-based practices for treatments that often result in minimizing injections, other procedures and potentially dangerous medications. I want patients to get better so they can live full, functional and healthy lives with the skills to care for themselves. As a public servant, I work FOR my patients. It is my duty to do my best to work with them as a team, so they can (hopefully) not need me anymore."
-Jonathan Clapp, M.D.
