He completed an hepatobiliary and pancreatic fellowship at the Lahey Clinic in Boston, Massachusetts, and a surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He is board certified in general surgery and is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Boltons expertise includes gastric, esophageal, liver, biliary and pancreatic cancer surgery, minimally invasive surgery for esophageal cancer, surgical endocrinology (thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and pancreatic surgery), cancer research, breast cancer treatments and sentinel lymph node biopsy techniques.
