He continued to serve as an Army physician as the Chief of PM&R at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, WA providing Musculoskeletal Sports and Spine care to active duty service members and veterans. In 2011, he completed a deployment in Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn. At the end of his commitment in 2013, he was honorably discharged with a rank of Major. He completed an Interventional Spine Fellowship at Michigan Neurology Associates, PC.
