Dr. Kronick%u2019s practice focuses on complex reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee. His areas of expertise include: 1) Primary hip and knee replacement in patients of all ages and conditions 2) Revision hip and knee replacement 3) Total joint replacement in young patients 4) Comprehensive evaluation and management of painful hip and knee replacements 5) Management of bone loss in joint replacement 6) Management of infected joint replacement Dr. Kronick is the only fellowship trained joint replacement surgeon in Walnut Creek, Calif. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and has 17-plus years of experience in treating patients. Dr. Kronick%u2019s training and experience make him one of the best joint replacement surgeons in California. Dr. Kronick began practicing orthopedic surgery in 1995 after completing his medical training at the Chicago Medical School and his residency at Wayne State University in Detroit. Following residency, he completed an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the Rush Orthopaedic Institute under the direction of Dr. Wayne G. Paprosky, where he advanced his skills in hip and knee replacement, revision hip and knee surgery, and the management of bone loss. He then performed a Biologic Hip Reconstruction Fellowship at Wayne State University under the tutelage of Drs. Jeffrey Mast and Keith Mayo where he refined his skills in the art of osteotomy and internal fixation. Following his education, he joined the faculty at Wayne State University as an assistant professor and was named Teacher of the Year in 2000. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his family, such as going to swim meets with his two daughters. He also enjoys cycling, hunting and the outdoors.
