Dr. John L. Singleton
Dr. Singleton completed his undergraduate studies at West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1978. He received his training and doctorate dentistry from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1982. For the next 6 years, Dr. Singleton was a dentist in the US Air Force in North Carolina. He and his family moved to Roanoke in 1988 where he joined "Dental Associates" of Roanoke. Soon after joining the practice he became a partner in the practice. He has now practice dentistry in the Roanoke Valley for more than 20 years.
Dr. Singleton is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry. the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association the Piedmont Dental Society; the Roanoke Valley Dental Society, and the Big Lick Study Club (a Seattle Study Club member).
Dr. Singleton resides in Roanoke County with his wife Lois and their two Shetland sheep dogs. He as two sons, the oldest in a PhD program for Biomedical Engineering and the younger son in his senior year of college, majoring in Landscape Architecture. Away from the office. he serves as an USAF Academy Admissions liaison Officer (retired from the USAF after 20 years) and serves on several committees at his church. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, continues to build a garden railroad (large scale model trains) in his back yard and with his first love, photography being his primacy hobby. (He is never without a camera).
