Dr. Barton is board certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. He has been with Tennessee Oncology since 1997 and practicing medicine since 1993. Dr. Barton comes to us from a private practice in Virginia after graduating from Bowman Gray Medical School where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society in 1987. His residency and fellowship were completed at Wake Forest University where he also served at Asst. Chief of Medicine / Chief Resident of Medicine in 1990.Dr. Barton sees patients with all types of cancer and blood disorders. He is a member of the Tennessee Medical Association and is currently serving a two year term as the Chief of Medicine at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Dr. Barton is a member of the Cancer Committee and the Hospice Advisory Board of Middle Tennessee Medical CenterDr. Barton sees patients in the Murfreesboro Office and StoneCrest Office in Smyrna.
