Dr. Edmunds earned his Bachelor's degree at Pennsylvania State University and his Medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Edward Ebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his internal medicine residency at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda and his cardiovascular disease fellowships there and at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Edmunds is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the North Carolina Medical Society, and the Greater Greensboro Medical Society. Additionally, Dr. Edmunds is a testamur of the North American Society of Electrophysiology and Pacing Examination for special competency in pacing and defibrillation.
