He graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, Vermillion, in 1978, and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Tulane Affiliated Hospitals, New Orleans, LA. Dr. Sheehan is board certified in his specialty by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
