Dr. Abernathy graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1975. She did her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Iowa, completed in 1979. She was board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1981. Dr. Abernathy also serves as Medical Director for OB-GYN Associates, P.C. and Cosmetic Solutions Laser and Skin Care Clinic.
