As a child, I loved playing doctor with my Barbie dolls. That, coupled with my love for the math and sciences, led me to medical school, and I have never looked back on that decision. It is such a privilege to be engaged in improving the lives of others. The best thing about being a gastroenterologist, is the opportunity to help patients with the longest organ system in their body – the digestive tract. Every patient is unique, and for me, it is so important to try to understand that story. I love everything related to general gastroenterology and hold special interests in women's health, esophageal disorders, liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, cooking and reading non-fiction.
