Dr. Wells, a California native raised on the East Coast, split her adult life between the two coasts. After completing her OB/GYN training at UCSF, she pursued a second residency in psychiatry at VTCSOM, becoming boarded in addiction medicine in 2018. As Director of Women's Mental Health services, she focuses on treating women, especially pregnant and parenting individuals with mental health and addiction concerns. Outside work, she explores trails in SW Virginia and nearby states with her dogs. Dr. Wells is an enthusiastic traveler and photographer, with a 25-year meditation practice and a love for reading and staying active on her Peloton.
