Dr. Jennifer Avise's areas of expertise is on early detection and disease prevention, minimally invasive (endovascular) techniques, and complex open surgery. She treats a wide variety of conditions, including aortic aneurysm, limb salvage, varicose veins, peripheral artery disease (PAD), carotid disease, dialysis access and spinal access surgeries. Dr. Jennifer Avise grew up in the Atlanta, Georgia area and completed her medical school and general surgery residency training at Emory University, a rigorous and high volume program, followed by vascular and endovascular surgical fellowship at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. She relocated to the Bay Area to be closer to family and her first 7 years were spent building out a practice in the Oakland and Tri-Valley region for Stanford where she served as an associate professor and medical director of the Heart and Vascular center. She now joins BASS Medical Group to focus on a patient centered practice providing high quality care for the community of the East Bay.
