Dr. Steinberg is the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. He served as an intern and resident in surgery at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, and as a resident in urology in the Harvard Program in Urology, Boston. Dr. Steinberg also served as a research fellow at the J. Hartwell Harrison Urological Research Laboratory-Harvard Medical School-Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston. A diplomate of the American Board of Urology, he is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Steinberg is a founder and past president of the Boston Urological Society. He is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the American Association of Clinical Urologists, the American Urological Association, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Boston Surgical Society and the Massachusetts Association of Practicing Urologists. Dr. Steinberg is a past president of the Massachusetts Association of Practicing Urologists and most recently held an appointment as a clinical associate professor of surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He previously held surgical teaching appointments at the Harvard Medical School, Boston.
