Dr. Boggess has been at Bend Memorial Clinic since 1986. Certified by the American Board of Family Practice, Dr. Boggess graduated from the University of Miami (Florida) Medical School in 1975, completed his residency at Tacoma Family Medicine in 1980 and his internship with the United States Naval Hospital San Diego California in Trauma Surgery. Dr Boggess has certifications with the Fellowship in the American Academy of family medicine, and AOA Honor Medical Society
After finishing residency, Dr. Boggess's prime interest was in rural medicine. He began his practice in a small town where he practiced general medicine, critical care, obstetrics and surgery. He has had the opportunity to practice family medicine at BMC for the past 26 years. During that time he has served as chief of family medicine at St. Charles, on the executive committee of Bend Memorial Clinic, and as a board of director. Dr. Boggess has a special interest in issues of death and dying and was Director of Hospice of Bend for 7 years. His passion for his practice is the medicine and the patients.
In his spare time, Dr. Boggess enjoys cutting horses and endurance racing, playing music and growing bonsai. Dr. Boggess is married with three children.
