Jeffrey Chase, MD, is board-certified in orthopedic surgery. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in biology from Williams College in Massachusetts and his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Pennsylvania. He did his orthopedic surgery residency at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. Dr. Chase has been a permanent Outer Banks resident since 1998. Prior to joining Vidant Medical Group and subsequently Outer Banks Medical Group, Dr. Chase was the founder of First Flight Orthopedics, where he worked for 13 years. At Outer Banks Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Dr. Chase’s current practice, he is one of three orthopedic surgeons. Specific procedures he performs include knee and shoulder arthroscopies, hip and knee joint replacements, fracture repairs, general hand and foot cases, and rotator cuff repairs. Dr. Chase performs surgery at The Outer Banks Hospital. Along with his wife, Dr. Chase has two sons, two daughters and two stepdaughters. When not seeing patients or performing surgery, he enjoys playing tennis, skiing, wakeboarding, boating and traveling.
