Dr. Miller received his doctor of medicine degree in 1987 from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Johns Hopkins. Dr. Miller completed two years of residency in general surgery, followed by four years of advanced training in urologic surgery, at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson. His outstanding performance earned him the centers Surgical Housestaff Teaching Award and first prize in the centers Resident Research Seminar While in Arizona, Dr. Miller also spent time at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, where he received specialized training in the surgical management of prostate cancer. A diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Miller has extensive experience in the medical and surgical treatment of all urologic malignancies and has a special interest in prostate cancer. Dr. Miller also has advanced training in the treatment kidney stone disease, including laser lithotriosy. He has a strong interest in the medical and surgical treatment of BPH including minimally invasive techniques such as greenlight laser prostatectomy and in office needle ablation. He has a particular interest in managing and monitoring the medical aspects of the aging male including sexual dysfunction, bone density abnormalities, and manifestations of low testosterone. He is the author of more than 20 articles and chapters in numerous medical journals and textbooks relating to urology oncology. Publications include the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of Urology. Dr. Miller is former Chief of Surgery at Boca Raton Community Hospital, where he has been on staff since 1993. He also performs surgery at Boca Raton Outpatient Surgery and Laser Center. He is a member of the American Urologic Association, Florida Urologic Society, Palm Beach County Medical Society, and the South Florida Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.
