Jed A. Kwartler, MD, is Director of Summit Medical Group Otology/Neurotology. Recognized as a leading ear surgeon in the New York metropolitan area, Dr. Kwartler performed New Jersey's first cochlear implant in a child in 1993. He serves on international panels that evaluate the latest implantable and semi-implantable hearing devices. He also is integral in helping develop novel medical and surgical treatments for common ear problems.

Dr. Kwartler notes that "listening carefully leads to a deeper understanding of a patient's apparent and deeper concerns. Being a good listener makes me a better doctor. I want to treat my patients the way I would like to be treated."
