One of my most important duties as a physician is to listen to the patient and to work hard to truly understand his or her concerns. I try to make sure the patient leaves the visit understanding as much as possible about their medical condition and treatment plan. Endocrinology is exciting because it is a field whose features uniquely suit most of my goals as a physician.
