Dr. Abitbol received his medical degree from the University of Ottawa and his undergraduate degree in biology from Loyola College, Concordia University in Montreal. He served an internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at McGill University in Montreal and a fellowship in spine surgery at Mt. Sinai and Toronto General Hospital. Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Canadian Royal College of Surgeons-Orthopaedics, Dr. Abitbol has over 10 years of experience in orthopaedic surgery. He serves on the board of directors for the North American Spine Society and is a member of the Cervical Spine Research Society and the Federation of Spine Association.
