As an internal medicine physician with prior training in dermatology, I see the whole patient. Internal medicine looks at what is happening on the inside out. Dermatology looks at the body on the outside in. The two specialties complement one another. One of the things I like best is seeing the satisfaction in my patients' eyes when I have made them understand their ailment and its treatment. It makes me feel like I have not only helped the patient but also a family, and the entire community. I like to create and enjoy working in an environment catered to my patients’ needs. I am very approachable and I have found that people find themselves at ease while speaking with me. I enjoy talking with patients and always encourage them to participate in their own care so that we, together, can devise a care plan which is a good fit with their individual situation and lifestyle.
