Brief Intro

“I’m fascinated by both science and art of illness and medicine and hope my patients benefit from this.” Dr. James Chabala earned his medical degree in 1973 from the Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in his hometown of Maywood, Illinois. He completed his Family Practice internship and residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Camp Pendleton, California. He is a U.S. Navy (Ret.) Captain with seven years of active duty and fifteen years of active reserve duty. Dr. Chabala is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice. He is active in local and civic groups including the Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis Club, the Scottish Knights Templar, and the San Diego Scottish Society.
