Providing general orthopedic services, Dr. James Ramser specializes in foot and ankle surgery, hip and knee replacements, and surgical procedures for bunion repair. Board-certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Ramser is proud to work with a team of compassionate specialists who share the same common goal: getting our patients back on their feet so they can enjoy life again. Dr. Ramser is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacement. In addition, he practices general orthopedic and trauma surgery and is highly skilled in a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. He joined Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center in 1992 and presently holds privileges at Fauquier Hospital. He has served Fauquier Hospital as Chairman of the Department of Surgery, and as a member of the Credentials Committee and Outpatient Committee. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Warrenton Overlook Health and Rehabilitation and is a member of the Fauquier County Medical Society. Dr. Ramser is a native of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. He attended the University of Virginia where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with high distinction in 1983. He completed his medical training, both medical school and orthopedic residency, at the Medical College of Virginia. In 1990, he received the Virginia Orthopaedic Society’s Outstanding Resident Award. His award-winning research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed orthopedic journals. Dr. Ramser is Board-Certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
