James M. Brittain, DMD Dr. Brittain earned his undergraduate degree from Sewanee, The University of the South before going on to receive his doctorate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and he maintains active memberships with numerous prestigious professional organizations such as the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry; the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Charlotte Dental Society. Away from the office, Dr. Brittain enjoys exercising, playing guitar, fly fishing, reading, sailing, and spending time with his family. He and his wife Jan recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They have two children, Justin and Lauren, and two grandsons, Henry and Charlie.
