An electrical engineer from MIT, James Kayvanfar, then attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine to pursue a career in medicine. After completing his orthopedic residency at Howard University Hospital, Dr. Kayvanfar also completed a post-residency Fellowship program in Spine Surgery & Rehabilitation at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center to complement his broad experience in general orthopedics.
Dr. Kayvanfar, a Board certified orthopedic surgeon, has been practicing in Santa Clarita Valley (Valencia) since 1994. Early in his practice, he developed interest in and has been using Minimally Invasive Surgical techniques in his practice. Areas of expertise include spine disorders & surgery, sports medicine & arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, neuroplasties (e.g. carpal tunnel surgery), and treatment of fractures & dislocations.
