I was born and grew up in Poland, studied medicine there, and after graduation practiced for a few years there. Then I immigrated to the United States, passed the required exams, and entered my postgraduate medical training. My residency was in pediatrics and my fellowship in neonatology. Since 1985, I have been caring for babies big and small-and sometimes very small-at the Fontana Medical Center. I have been married for 32 years now, and we have three grown children and one grandchild.
