Dr. Ira Galin is a board certified cardiovascular specialist who received his medical degree from Boston University. He completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. His clinical interests include valvular heart disease, heart failure, hypertension, lipid disorders, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and vascular disease. Dr. Galin is passionate about training the next generation of cardiologists and currently serves as the program director for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Danbury Hospital. Dr. Galin is committed to pursuing excellence through the integration of clinical care, education and research. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and of the American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Galin was recognized as a Top Doc in 2020 by Castle Connolly.
