Bingham Memorial Hospital is extremely pleased to welcome back to our community Hugh S. Selznick, M.D., F.A.C.S. Dr. Selznick is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with advanced fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma. He has extensive experience in his field and cultivates a sincere and genuine relationship with all of his patients.
Dr. Selznick graduated from Cornell University and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed a General Surgery internship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Orthopaedic Institute Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York, and a fellowship in Orthopaedic Traumatology at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Dr. Selznick works part time in Las Vegas. He is the Medical Director of Orthopaedic Trauma Services at one of two designated trauma centers. Dr. Selznick is also working part time in Idaho, and is very excited to return. "It is a special opportunity for me to work here again. Working in Idaho was the best time of my life," says Dr. Selznick. "I want to give back to the community that gave me so much."
Dr. Selznick has a general orthopaedic practice in Idaho. He sees patients who suffer from pain in their knees, hips, and other joints. He also works with arthritis patients and performs joint replacement surgeries.
Patients of Dr. Selznick find him to be extremely caring, compassionate, and competent. He feels very fortunate because his patients are so appreciative of what he does for them; however, he does admit one fault. "I always run late in my clinics, because I talk too much with my patients," stated Dr. Selznick.
Dr. Selznick is married and has four girls. When he moved to Las Vegas, he began bike riding because of the opportunity it provides him to think, relax, and travel. He and his wife have enjoyed several biking trips around the country and the world together. One of his favorites was a biking trip to the French Alps during the Tour de France.
