Dr. Harvey Yorker graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree. He completed a rotating internship at Cherry Hill Hospital, followed by training in general surgery at Tri-county Hospital, Springfield Pennsylvania. He then completed his urology residency at Cherry Hill Medical Center, Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Dr. Yorker was chief of Urology at Parkview Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and chairman of the Urology residency program at that institution. He is board certified and a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Dr. Yorker spent more than twenty years in the Air National Guard and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He received many awards including Meritorious Service Medal. While in the Air Force, he instructed military physicians around the world in the performance of the "No-scalpel vasectomy" technique.
Dr. Yorker's other interests include: collecting military memorabilia; collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia; playing saxophone, clarinet, and flute; and pistol target shooting.
