Known for his expert diagnostic skills, Dr. Harry Jacob, practicing Internist and President, Primary PartnerCare Physicians, PLLC, truly loves being a primary care physician and the privilege of caring for his patients. As a Northwell clinical instructor for medical residents for over 30 years, Dr Jacob teaches not only clinical medicine and investigative diagnostic skills, but the joy and privilege of being a physician and sharing so many people’s life journeys in a personal and impactful way. He models his practice style after the teachings of Sir William Osler, the “father of primary care” who emphasized the importance of treating the whole person not just the disease to effectively promote health and heal patients. When asked why he loves being a doctor, Dr. Jacob describes the variety and complexities of conditions he treats and the lifetime relationships with his patients and their families. His patients describe him as being warm, friendly, caring, humorous, and brilliant when finding diagnoses missed by other physicians. Dr. Jacob has been married to his wife and business partner, Marion, for 15 years and has three adult children. Dr Jacob is an avid golfer and enjoys exercising as a way to decrease stress and increase energy. He enjoys traveling and discovering new adventures, especially with his family; his favorite vacation spot is Cabo San Lucas.
