About Me: I received a bachelors degree in science from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota and a PhD in medicine form the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. I completed my obstetrical and gynecological training at King/Drew Medical Center. My subspecialty training in maternal-fetal medicine was completed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. About my practice: I am a board-certified maternal-fetal medicine specialist (a perinatologist). A perinatologist is an obstetrician with additional training in pregnancies that are complicated by maternal or fetal factors that could lead to a less than optimal outcome. How I thrive: To thrive is to be in good health with a positive spirit and a sound mind. I strive to achieve that by staying physically active (I have completed 15 marathons) and by pursuing spiritual and intellectual fulfillment.
