"I went to Medical School in India and graduated in 1984, followed by post-graduate training and certification in internal medicine and nephrology. After that I joined the staff of a prestigious medical school in Mumbai. Thereafter, I decided to broaden my horizon and come to the USA. Here, I furthered my experience via a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Missouri-Columbia (UMC), an enterprise I found enjoyable and rewarding. Subsequently, I served on the faculty at UMC for over 8 years." "Over the years, I have developed a focused interest in patients with chronic kidney disease--patients whose kidneys are failing to adequately remove salt and water and the by-products of metabolism.
