A graduate of Nicholls State University and the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, Gerard Pena, M.D. accepted a General Surgery Internship from Emory University in 1983 and completed his General Surgery and Otolaryngology residency at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1987.
He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and his professional memberships include: American Academy of Otolaryngology; Louisiana State Medical Society; Louisiana Academy of Otolaryngology; New Orleans Ear, Nose and Throat Society; and a past president of the St. Tammany Parish Medical Society. He also is currently a board member of the LSU Med School Alumni Association and Secretary/Treasurer of St. Tammany.
