Brief Intro

Dr. Gerald Hofkin received AB and MA degrees from Johns Hopkins University in June 1957. He received the MD degree from the University of Maryland in June 1961 He was awarded an MBA degree in May 2003 by the Johns Hopkins University. A member of Alpha Omega Alpha, he is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology. Following his three years of service in the Army, he entered private practice in Baltimore from 1969 to 1991. He joined the full time faculty of Sinai Hospital from 1991 to 1999. He has served as President of the Maryland Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy; Chairman of the Medical Executive Committee, Sinai Hospital and President of Medical Staff, Sinai Hospital; and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. His main areas of interest are the esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon.
